    Tips

Multiplication can be implied, so 2π and 3(4+1) work. Functions accept a number without brackets, as in √16. Use Ans for the last result and E for powers of ten, as in 6.02E23. Press Enter to calculate.

How to use the scientific calculator

Tap the keys or type an expression straight into the display and press Enter. Switch between degrees and radians with the Deg key. Your last five results are saved below the keypad, and you can tap one to reuse it.

    Supported functions

    • Trigonometry: sin, cos, tan and their inverses
    • Logarithms: natural log (ln) and base-10 log
    • Powers and roots: x², xʸ, √ and 1/x
    • Factorials, percentages, π, e and scientific notation (E)

    Order of operations

The calculator follows standard precedence: brackets first, then powers, then multiplication and division, then addition and subtraction. For example, −2^2 equals −4 and 2+3×4 equals 14.

    Frequently asked questions

How do I enter scientific notation?

Use the EXP key or type E. For example, 6.02E23 means 6.02 × 10²³.

Why does tan(90) show an error?

The tangent of 90 degrees is undefined, so the calculator reports it instead of showing a huge rounded number.
